The reconstruction of the Gulf Freeway is heading further south, Khou.com reported on June 12th
This will be the second phase of the construction that will eventually expand the Gulf Freeway from Beltway 8 south to Medical Center Road by adding HOV lanes and an extra freeway travel lane in each direction. It will also add a feeder road lane in both directions.
The total freeway construction will not be complete until spring of 2016.
